Lee Schaefer Appointed New Work Comp Administrative Law Judge
Jefferson City, Mo – The Division of Workers’ Compensation announced today the appointment of Lee A. Schaefer as an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) of the Missouri Department of Labor’s Division of Workers’ Compensation.
Schaefer is the Chief Counsel of the Labor Division within the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. Schaefer received her degree in political science at the University of Missouri- Columbia and received her Juris Doctorate from Washington University. In 2007, Schaefer was the recipient of the Workers’ Compensation Distinguished Lawyer Award, presented by Kids’ Chance of Missouri and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
Some other accomplishments of Schaefer’s include serving as the President of the Blessed Sacrament School Board, President of Blessed Sacrament PTO, and serving as a board member of the Tourette’s Association of Missouri.
"I am very honored by this appointment. I have practiced in the area of workers’ compensation for over 20 years and am looking forward to my new position serving injured workers and employers of the state of Missouri,” says Schaefer.
Upon taking oath, Schaefer will assume the position of the Chief ALJ for the St. Louis office.
