Thousands are expected to exhaust their benefits after the phase-out deadline and even more will not meet the deadline to even apply and be eligible to receive federal benefits. Many will be faced with questions and to get the answers they need, they will be calling the Regional Claims Center. In the past, claimants would have to redial over and over again to talk to someone but as IT Director Jason Volkart explains, claimants will be able to leave their number and get a call back from a representative.
