If you are taking on a part-time job during the busy shopping season, make sure you know a thing or two about Missouri’s wage and hour laws. Wage and Hour Assistant Director Jim Boeckman explains how some typical holiday jobs may be fine for adults to take but are seen as unacceptable for youth according to Missouri law. Boeckman also provides some helpful hints to all seasonal workers about paychecks…including the fact that workers, if they so choose, can be paid in holiday gifts!
